This page contains photos of the process of re-fitting the magneto pick-ups to a ROTAX 912ULS engine (built August 2006) and then setting the gap between them and the flywheel triggers.

First re-fit the top right pickups. Just fit them finger tight initially as the gap will have to be set with a feeler gauge before they are torque'd up fully ...

Likewise with the lower left pickups and the tacho pickup taking care to route the cabling neatly between the two and bolt down the P-clips / cable clamps where applicable. Remember if you get stuck your ultimate referrence is the IPC and/or your teardown photos ...

Next adjust the gap between the pole of all the pickups and the relevant trigger on the flywheel until all the gaps are set equally and correctly ..

Go through and check them all again and then torque to the correct torque ...
